Meet Hansel

Hansel, our mascot, inspiration, and Vice President In Charge Of Snuggling was adopted from Chicago’s One Tail At A Time rescue in 2018. The red pit mix has taught all of those close to him about the unconditional love and joy rescuing a dog can bring, but also about how dogs that look like him are judged for even the smallest behavioral issues. In turn, he inspired a mission to make sure more pitties end up in safe and supportive forever homes. 

His favorite toys are tennis balls and he prefers systematically destroying them (removing the fuzz first, then breaking open the rubber) to chasing them. His side eye is unparalleled, as is his commitment to napping.
